Nathan Bolender About Code Design Links

Here you will find information about my design projects over the years. Please be aware that my design skills are sub-par compared to my coding skills.

2006

nathanbolender.com v3.0
Out of nowhere, my main website was redesigned. Best color yet. I call it fresh pastel.
pending.be
This is actually the third design of my awesome countdown site, pending.be. The other two were very bad, but this one is very functional and welcoming. It features a glossy blue stripe along the top and a left navigation menu.

2005

nathanbolender.com v2.0
This is a very smooth, welcoming design. The emphasis here is simplicity with a splash of color.
scott high stlp
I actually created this design some time ago, but it got its final tweaks recently. It is for my high school's STLP group.
idle geeks
Ah, Idle Geeks. It's a great site, not for its design but for its content. The design is quite simple, however. Again the focus here is content! It features several random elements that I put in there for fun. The banner shown here is one of the best available.
insanely great.net
This site that eventually failed was meant to be a place for Mac tips & support. Its design was quite bland, but it worked. The coolest thing about this site was its full custom PHP content management system, which was later modified for Idle Geeks.
nathanbolender.com v1.0
I created this design very quickly. I ended up with lots of problems and lots of complexity, and that is why I dropped it. The entire concept failed and I was left with a way-too-big design that screamed legal problems. I like my new design better, don't you?

2004

2004 design v2.0
This was a smooth redesign of my 2004 Design site. It was replaced by nathanbolender.com only a couple months after it was created, however.
cincypunk
Yeah, Cincypunk.net. They needed a new site quick, and thus they got a quick design. It is definitely not one of my best, but it worked for them. They later replaced the top banner with a much better one, and later scrapped the whole site.
club fusions
I created this site with someone else, it was meant to be a community site. It never really took off and eventually got dumped, and the design was pretty bad too.
2004 design v1.0
2004 Design used to be "me", but I got rid of it once I realized that I was much better at coding. This design was very simple, but I really liked that green!
krinj v2.0
I created this design for my brother's (former) band. The coolest thing about this was that it appeared like all of the content was on a piece of notebook paper.

2003

freqs of nature v2.0
This was a hasty redesign of the site for my online gaming group, FoN. It was another failed project, but it was my first experimentation with rollovers.
woodland stlp
I created this design for my school's (at the time) STLP group. It was taken to a technology competition, where it was judged. We didn't win, but the judges did like our flash introduction.
krinj v1.0
Shown here is the original design for krinj.net, the site of my brother's former band. It was created quickly, and thus is was very bland.
freqs of nature v1.0
This was my first official project. It used iframes (eww) and other various never-ever-do-that components, but I thought it was great at the time.
